Jay has been interviewed by numerous print media sources- going all the way back to a feature story in The Daily Helmsman (University of Memphis student newpaper) about his obsession with reptiles as a college student in the ‘90s. Since then he has contributed expertise on reptiles, amphibians, and other wildlife to a number of newspaper and magazine articles.
Television
Jay has been interviewed as a “snake expert” for several local televsion news outlets in Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama.

For three consecutive years, beginning in 2019, Jay has had the pleasure of being the featured guest to discuss snakes on the Gettin’ Outdoors podcast hosted by James “Big Daddy” Lawler (“BDL”).
